 Was thinking about a new section.... (Blog Section) January 28th, 2007, 4:04 am...a blog section that is. someplace where you could type out your thoughts and only those who you select will be able to read it. yeah yeah yeah i know what you guys are saying "just use myspace", well i friggin refuse. i don't want to get all these spam bot comments or spy-ware automatically e-mailed to me or whatever else they dream up. i just don't like the the fact that my blog would be in the hands of someone i don't know (i see it the same as mailing your diary to the press enterprise).
basically it boils down to this, sometimes i would really like to talk to people about stuff however i am not really good at that. i know that this might seem like somewhat of a shock but i am rather shy when it comes to all the touchy feely emotional junk. talking to someone face to face about that stuff is rather intimidating to me. being able to post it online would be much easier however i do not like myspace; for reasons listed above and many more that i do not know about and never will. in my opinion this site is much better for that type of thing because i know who owns and runs it and also most of the people who use it.
so, let me know what you guys think.

I think it's a great idea, I understand how typing is eaiser than talking and could be a good outlet, and I also understand that some people wouldn't want it on myspace for everone to read. Make it!

here is what i am thinking of doing. each person that wants a place to blog would get their own section. that way they can create a new topic for each day or subject and all of the comments would go under that topic.
the "owner" of that section would be the only one able to create topics and also the gate keeper allowing or disallowing whomever they wish, with obvious exception of the administrators (thomas and I).
how does that sound? i will take everyones suggestions in consideration as i would like more people to use this rather than just me  .

I'm not a big fan of blogs. They can be a good thing when used correctly but I feel it makes it very easy for people to bottle up emotions. Instead I think we should have a message board where you can post and schedule times to meet people outside by the sandbox, you know after school. If you got a problem with me just schedule an appointment with me and I'll see you at the deep end of the box after school.
However I feel you would use blogs for good not evil, so maybe you should thus create a blog forum.

ok here are the blog rules and how to use the section.

Using Your Blog
if you are granted your own blog section remember this is a place to post your thoughts and ask for people's opinions on life's issues or whatnot. you will be the only one able to create threads and polls. you will be moderator of your own blog and expected to keep things civil.
this is not your own porn distribution point, a place for your online business, etc... any misuse, abuse, hateful, or illegal things found will be deleted and you will be warned. defiance of an admin's decision will result in your login getting yanked.
Viewing A Blog
if you want access to someone's blog then you have to select "usergroups" in the menu above. the blog group names will all be called "<username> blog" so select the user's blog that you want to join and click view information. then click the subscribe button in the middle of the screen.
when granted access you will be able to post comments under threads created by the blog owner. you will also be able to vote in any polls created by the blog owner.
the owner of that blog will be the only one to grant access. i will not over ride anyone else's decision in this matter nor will i disclose anything that anyone else posts in their own blog, this goes for all users with access to any blog. remember the Admins are only here to keep X-INfERNO fair and civil.
having access to someone else's blog is a privilege and should be treated as such. do not post spam or off topic things as that is just plain rude. remember that the owner of the blog can delete your post, or revoke access anytime they deam necessary. X-INfERNO Admins will not override this decision in any way. if you disclose any information found in someone else's blog and there is any proof to this your login will be revoked without a second thought. there is nothing that X-INfERNO hates more than gossip.
if you spot any misuse or abuse of the blog section let MrBurritoMan or Thomas know immediately.
