REAL girls night...? April 11th, 2010, 10:44 pm
Just a thought for girls night this week...I know that some of us (myself included) have been going through some tough times lately, and I think it could be good (and theraputic) to have a "REAL" girls night - kind of like a spin-off of Nick and Heather's REAL party. The goal of the night is not to be overly negative or bring up controversial topics, but to be really honest about how we feel about things (anything really), and where we are in our lives right now (as individuals, in our friendships and relationships, at work/school, our families, etc.). It seems like this is something that can bring us girls closer, and allow us to talk about things that are too easily overlooked and not discussed amongst us. This will probably mean no BBT, but there is always next week...or the weekend! Let me know what you girls think. I won't be upset if my idea is a "no-go", I just thought I would throw it our there and see what you all think about it.

Hmmm..... It is a valid suggestion. I think that if you (or anyone else) needs to have girls night be a topical discussion/venting period then I believe you are welcome to it. I didn't go to the REAL party that Nick and Heather had but from what I hear it went well. I can't wait to see you ladies tonight. 7:30pm.

No topic(s) that I have in mind per-say for the evening, but I just keep feeling like I need to be more REAL with myself and others. Can't be happy all the time. Also, I just want us to be able to share the good AND the bad! Maybe it's just me...but just thought I would throw this idea out there and see what kind of response I got for you gals.

OMG! I'm so sad that I'm not going to be there. I would really enjoy this night to the nth degree! Today is election day for my boss so I will be out all day talking to people and making sure they are voting. We are having a victory party after too. If I don't stay all day then it might put my future job in jeopardy. Lame Lame Lame! Don't hold it off for me, but can I request another one in the future? Bethany can I say how awesome you are for being willing to share your feelings and wanting to listen to everyone too? You're awesome! I'll miss you ladies.

Bethany, I think that this is a great idea, mostly because I know how important it can be to share the good AND the bad and I know that you really need this.
Heather, we will definitely make a point to have another Real focused event when you can come. But don't risk your job today. You need this and it's going to be SO great for you and Nick if he gets elected. So good! I hope that the day goes great!
Ladies, I started the South Beach Diet yesterday. I really need to get my weight, my eating, and my sugar intake under control. So for the next two weeks, it's only food without sugar and carbs for me. Bethany, I don't know if you were planning on making anything specific or not, but don't worry about me. I'll probably just make eggs and sugar free jello or something. lol
I can't wait to see you ladies tonight.

Nothing special I was planning on making for dinner tonight. But, I am sure there is something you girls will find edible in the pantry. Heather: you can count Kelley and Me as two votes for Bill Emmerson! Have a great victory party, and only SIP the champagne...Cheers! Jessica: I want to hear all about your first day on the job!
