So Jessica posted that she is working for YMCA, Tiffany posted that she started a new job today, so I guess it's my turn...

I GOT THE SANDALS JOB!!!

They were supposed to call me Friday. I'm not sure why they didn't but oh well. So when I went in to church yesterday morning to volunteer, my friend Lori and the Small Groups Pastor both told me congratulations. I was like, "they haven't called me yet." Their faces were both confused and then they told me the whole story. They are going to be offering me 32 hours a week and full benefits. They said that almost everyone works over there hours so I should get more like 36-40.

So they haven't actually called me yet, but I know that they will be soon. I'm actually super anxious for that phone call. And I'm super stoked, but still nervous, about quitting. I'll be giving my two weeks immediately after they call me.

So nervous! But so excited!

So I think it's about time we scheduled a celebration dinner. I think that we should do it tomorrow night since we'll all be together anyway. Also, we need to pick where we want to eat. Originally we said sushi for me, but that was before Tiff and Jess got jobs too. I'm not sure that they would be up for sushi, so we can come up with other options. I'm just happy to be able to finally celebrate!

Yay Megan! I knew that you would get the job...and I am not just saying that. It was the obvious choice, and it will be a perfect fit for both Sandals AND you.

If we go to Ooka's, they have the hibachi grill. It is great for large parties, and we can get all kinds of stuff (chicken, shrimp, fish, or filet-mignon with fried rice or noodles), and those that want sushi can get that too! Just an idea for those that don't eat sushi. They also have REALLY yummy drinks there!

Congrats ladies, you really do deserve it!

Update:

They haven't called me yet. It turns out that they were only going to call me Friday to ask if they could run a background check. They are in the process of doing that now and I don't know how long that takes.

Also, some more specifics from Friday. They called me to ask who of my previous employers they could call. Well, they obviously couldn't call my current employer. And then one of the businesses that I worked at for 5 years just closed. Lame. So my only other employer reference was the Mary Kay lady! The one who helped me ring up thousands and I mean thousands of $ of debt and convinced me to break up with Thomas. My friend Lori told me it wasn't a big deal because she explained the back story to the person who called. But then I found out today that they called her again, for more info. Oh goodness!

Whatever. I supposedly have the job but I have to wait a few more days. We should consider waiting to have our party until it's official.

YAY! I'm glad you got the job, but I'm sad that you have to wait while they go through all the hoops. GIVE HER THE JOB ALREADY! YOU KNOW SHE'S AWESOME!

I don't think they are trusting God on this one. When you have the job and you're sitting at your desk I hope they explain all this madness.

I would totally be down for just hanging out and watching Big Bang Theory. I thought that someone requested twice-baked potatoes. I would love twice-baked potatoes!

I am confused. Are people going to Jason's tomorrow to dye eggs... or are we still doing girls/guys night? I am fine with either one. The only thing is that I have class until 7pm tue and thur this quarter. That means we will have to start girls night around 7:30pm until June. Sorry guys!

I am also confused about the egg thing at Jason's. As far as I know Thomas and Steve were just kind of joking with Jason about that but they really want it to actually happen. Jason hasn't said yes or no either way so I think that we are still waiting for Jason to decide. If he says yes then I think there will be a get together at his place instead of guys/girl's night. But again, still waiting to see.

Bethany, don't be sorry for anything. I am happy that you got into the classes you needed and if that means starting girl's night a little later then I guess we'll only watch 3 episodes (of Big Bang) instead of 4. Hehe

OK--UPDATE--
Looks like Jason is up for people coming over to dye easter eggs today, and then going to CPK for dinner after. Will someone PLEASE text me tonight what time people are going to head out for dinner? Like I said above, I have class until 7pm, and I need to know where to meet up with everyone (either at Case de Schueller, or CPK). Group Nights are the Best, I can't wait!

Bethany, Jason will not be there for eggs. He just said that we could use his house if we wanted.

Also, I'm not convinced that people will actually be getting together for dinner. I'm not sure. I'm going to try and get more info.

Congrats to Megan, even though it still isn't "official" I know it will be soon! Also, I won't be joining in on whatever fun festivities are being planned for tonight because my grandpa is in town and we're going out to dinner with him. I will miss everyone. I hope you all have a fun night.

Okay, Update:

Eggs at Jason's has not been confirmed. And like I said earlier, he won't be there. But we might be doing dinner tonight sometime.

So here's what I propose:
Let's meet at my place tonight to do girl's night. We'll "snack" "munch" whatever and watch Big Bang Theory. If plans change on a whim, then we are all there and ready for whatever comes up. And if nothing happens tonight, then we still had girl time and BBT. What do you gals say?

Also, we'll miss you Nat but have fun with your gpa!

Sounds good to me Megan...I do love your plans! I would move mountains to get my Big Bang Theory fix for the week. Ok, you got me...my Sheldon fix for the week.
