Although I do not want to start up an actual book club, I did buy the copies of Wuthering Heights thinking it could be fun for all of us to read it and discuss it. It is such a great romantic and dramatic book that I thought it would be perfect for girls night. :)

I liked the suggestion that we try to read to a sort of half-way point, talk about it, and then read the rest and talk about it. That way we're not really creating a legit book club where we would have to read to a certain point each week or something. I was flipping through the chapters, and the climax happens in chapters 15-16, so if we want to read to chapter 17 that would be a good half-way point.

Of course, there's still the question of when all of this will happen. So, is everyone okay just starting the book and we'll figure out where to go from there? (I know Heather has already gotten into it, and I have read a few chapters as well.) Let me know what you all think.

I am really interested in this book but I don't read very often, so I think it will take me longer than most.

I think reading for awhile and then eventually just starting to talk about is a good plan. I like your comment about not making it an actual book club with deadlines but that we'll take it casually and see how it goes from there.

Thanks again Nat for buying those books. So excited to get into it!

Great idea Natalie. I have wanted to do something like this for a while, but like Megan said, most book clubs are so strict with their 'progress' of reading up to certain chapters. Even though I have TONS of reading for school, I want to take time to read something I enjoy and really lose myself in a great book. I have started reading as well, but I am only on chapter 3...we will talk more on girls night!

Great! I will hold off. I'm really intrigued by this book and I have always wanted to read it. Thanks Natalie.

Sounds like it could be good...but I am not sure SOME peolple will like it - Meaning: Heather and her HATRED of Natalie Portman!!!! Other than that, I would love to see Gemma Arterton and Ed Westwick as the leading actors, giving the movie much needed eye candy (becuase we all know how the story ends...or rather, how it begins)!!!!

HAHAHA! I do dislike Natalie Portman, but the way this book is going all the characters suffer and I would like to see her suffer! I'm down!
