What time zone is the website running? April 23rd, 2008, 11:11 pm
I just started paying attention to this today but the posting time is very different from the actual times. What time zone is the website in? And also is it changing, or am I just being silly. I havn't payed attention yet but earlier it looked like it was only off by a couple hours, and now the time change is like 7 hours ahead. Are we in Europe?

did you bother to set your "prefered" timezone in your profile or did you just skip that?
if you click "profile" above then look for the drop down box labeled "timezone" you will find such a setting to help you out.
BTW "GMT -7 Hours" is Pacific Standard Time.

I would assume my prefered timezone would start as PST. Everyone knows the world operates around PST, If you're not PST then you can just geeeeeeet out!

errrr...no, not really.
the default time zone usually is GMT which is (like you said) 7 Hours off.
you can double check in your profile to see what it is set to.
infact i am 100% sure that your profile says that your time zone says GMT.

I'm not doubting you, I'm just saying can't we make it so when you make a new profile it defaults you to PST unless otherwise selected? Seems like it would only make sense!

while completely possible it is not easily done. i would have to re-write some parts of the forum.
there is also a chance that this will be changed automatically when i update the forum (which is coming soon).
