State of Minecraft! (and the X-INfERNO server)

 State of Minecraft! (and the X-INfERNO server) November 29th, 2010, 5:50 pmYo peoples, I've got new hardware for the X-INfERNO server coming on Thursday, which means minecraft is going to be running on a powerhouse instead of a bogged down old machine! This should make things run much faster! So here's the deal, I'm going to take minecraft offline tonight and leave it down until I get the new server up and running (hopefully Friday morning). That way I can make sure to get the world copied over without it being changed. So that's the news, minecraft down till Friday, then back better than ever! -Thomas P.S. if your interested, here are the new specs: New X-INfERNO orange box:AMD Athlon II x4 Quad core @ 3.0ghz 4gb DDR2 640gb HD Windows Web Server 2008 R2 Ctcochworks specs:P4 Single core @ 3.0ghz 1gb DDR1 80gb HD Windows Server 2003 And why not... Current X-INfERNO twohandsgo:P4 Single core @ 2.4ghz 480mb DDR1  40gb HD Windows Server 2003 Original X-INfERNO orange box:Dual PIII's @ 1.0ghz 512mb pc133 SDRAM 30gb HD Windows XP this thing was amazing when I built it. There sure wern't any multi-core CPUs back then, you just had to buy two!Here's a picture from when I built the first X-INfERNO server (the 'orange box')

I'm really excited for the new hardware. I'm also really appreciative that you bought all of this stuff just so you and your pals can have a better experience playing games.

Oh also. The new server is in the old orange box case, but is a new powerful machine. It's name is now...
