Post Pumpkin Carving? October 8th, 2009, 10:24 pm
So I was just wondering if we were going to get together and carve some pumpkins? Last year we did it at Jason's house. Are we going to again this year? If so when will this take place? Just curious.

I'm still a little unsure on all of my Halloween plans due to random work scheduling. It shouldn't be a huge issue, but we'll see what happens, I know me and Chantal will probably try to carve pumpkins when we do see each other, but I think if we do it when she comes here, we'll be doing it during the day when people are at work and school.

If my house becomes available I'll try to post and let people know, and I'll also try to flex toward whenever people want to do it if my schedule is open.

Just throwing this out there...We can do pumpkin carving at my house! I know that it is a bit of a drive, but I would love to have the whole gang over for some pumpkin carving fun. It would have to be in the evening (I have work and school), so I hope that would fit most people's schedule. Anyways, let me know what day/time would be best!

Bethany that is awesome! We could carpool and order pizza and eat it and carve pumpkins! I think that this awesome get-togehter should be sometime next week, maybe Thursday or Monday (the 22nd or the 26th). Since people have to work and such during the week we could start things off at maybe 6:30 or 7pm. This is going to be so much fun!!!!!

Monday sounds fun, but just a warning pumpkins might rot pretty quickly once they're cut open. If anyone has tips for preserving a pumpkin so it doesn't get all moldy, they should share!

I knew it was the 26th, but I still worry the Pumpkins may rot a little quickly.

We'll see though!

I have a suggestion of an activity but it doesn't have to do with pumpkin carving but I didn't want to start another topic so....

There is a Haunted House at Castle Park, it is 10 dollars for the House and 6 dollars for parking. If we carpool the 6 won't be a big deal. I was wondering if people would want to go do that. The House opens at 7:30pm and I thought it might be a fun thing to do.

You're right Jason the pumpkins probably won't last that long. We could do it the day of the party? It's up to Jessica and Bethany how they would want to do that. I think it would be fun.

As far as the pumpkins lasting I don't think it will be a problem. I asked Cary and he said they would last at least a week to a week and a half so doing it monday (26) should be fine. I won't be able to do it the day of the party cause I'll be setting up for the party and cooking stuff and getting last minute thing if I need them.

What does everyone think about the Castle Park Haunted House idea?

Part of carving the pumpkin is doing it with everyone! So, if it rots too soon, I don't care...We will be at Jessica's having a great time on Halloween anyways, so Boo to you possibly rotten pumpkin!!!

About the haunted house, sounds like fun (I have never go to their haunted house before), but with all my school stuff, I am not sure if I will be able to make it. Hope others want to go though **Good idea Jessica!**
