 Today is the Philly Marathon!!! November 20th, 2008, 4:25 amw00t w00t! The day approaches, but damn it's cold here. We're looking at a high of 41 on race day. burrrrrr

Re: Today is the Philly Marathon!!! November 23rd, 2008, 8:35 am So here's my half marathon story. So it was a chilly morning starting out in Philly, our run was going good. I knew by about half way through that I was clipping along at about 8:30 miles. My 5K time was 26:46, 10k time 53:19, and 15k was 1:20:11. I'm getting to the finish line and I'm in the zone, I'm just going, and then well before you know it I'm at mile 14. Turns out I missed the turn off for the half marathon finish line. I was really upset so I walked back to the art museum went around the front and jumped back into the line to finish running the race. My official finish time was 2:06:24, I know I made mile 14 at 2:02ish clock time which is like 1:55:42. This would mean at that pace that I ran 13.1 miles at about 1:48:16, of course this is all guess work and not official. I guess that means that I need to keep training to run another half marathon one of these days and eventually a full. Oh well!
