Halloween Party Ideas September 26th, 2008, 1:44 pm
So it's just over a month away, but Halloween will be here soon. I think that we should start planning asap. But we need ideas first.
The first and easiest idea I came up with was to have a party in the shop that evening. It would be fun and we could have a costume contest too.
My second idea is to buy tickets to Mickey's Trick or Treat at California Adventure. We could go the Tuesday before Halloween, the 28th. It's $25 each person if I buy them, because I'm a passholder. It's from 6:30 to 10:30 and there are tons of stations to trick or treat at, the kids are all getting candy so we can ride all of the rides. It could be really fun. Only downside is price.
Let me know what you think about these ideas, or give us new ones to think about. I promised Ian we'd have a party, seeing as he's missed the last 3 and Halloween falls on a Friday so we have to do something.
I won't feel bad if you hate my ideas, but come up with some creative ones instead.

So far, I think the consensus is that we have a party at Thomas's on the actual day, so that everyone can go and we can just hang out. We'll also have another day at either Disneyland or Knotts, or something like.
Does that sound okay for everyone so far? Any other ideas or comments, just post em!
Yay Halloween and friends!

I should be free for stuff too, and I'm not too picky on what we do. At the same time if you need any help planning anything let me know, otherwise I'm just gonna go with the flow.

I wouldn't mind doing some decorating like a few years ago if we are having a party at thomas.
maybe we could have everyone bring some food so no one gets stuck with all the work.

Re: Halloween Party Ideas September 29th, 2008, 2:10 pm
I like the idea of having a party on Halloween at Thomas's. I agree with Nick that we should decorate and have a pot luck type of food thing. I think that would be a lot of fun! As far as plans for my B-day, I would want everyone to be included, however I did want to go to a theme-park; I also know that money is a concern for some and that would not be an option. So I ask if anyone has an idea for an activity that we can all do, please post it. Thank you! As it gets closer to the actual day I will be keeping everyone updated. Again, thanks.

Okay, so as of now the final plan for Halloween is party at Thomas'. Trick or Treat at California Adventure can happen another time. I'm broke, others are poor and we want to be able to spend time with everyone. So this works pretty well.
Corey, the party might go late, so please consider coming after work, even if crazy late.
And Nick had a great point, one person shouldn't have to do everything. We should divvy up the things to take care of, like food, drinks, decor, music, etc.
Thanks guys for the discussion.
And yay friends and HALLOWEEN!
